Director's ‘demand for sex' for movie parts has recently been in the headlines, and experienced Ghanaian actor, director, and scriptwriter Kwaku Twumasi has stated that actresses also give themselves for sex in order to get cast in movies.

In an interview with Tony Best on Akoma FM's Kwantenpon Drive on Thursday, May 27, Kwaku Twumasi explained that simply appearing on screen provides actors and actresses with a plethora of chances.

As a result, they will go to any extent to be a part of a cast and become renowned.

“Previously, the story was that we, the filmmakers, or anybody with a say in the creation of a film, demanded sex before casting the actors, particularly the women.

“I don't have any personal experience with this, but I won't say it doesn't happen since it happens.

“However, this isn't always the case. Women will frequently utilize you, the director or producer, as a way of achieving their goal of becoming famous.

“As a result, if you are not cautious, they will most likely utilize you. They'll give you sex in exchange for a better role,“ Mr. Twumasi revealed.

However, Abena Korkor Addo, the former anchor of TV3's Ladies Circle, has announced aspirations to return to the media sector, stating that she likes “the spotlight.”
