Sarkodie, renowned Ghanaian rapper, has written a heartfelt greeting to Okomfour Kwadee, the iconic Hiplife artist, who celebrates his birthday today.

Okomfour Kwadee, born Jerry Anaabaa, comes from the northern portion of Ghana, specifically Navrongo, but has spent his whole childhood in Santasi, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region. He had his primary and secondary school in Kumasi before transferring to Navrongo Senior High School for his secondary studies.

Okomfour Kwadee is considered as one of the pioneers of the Hiplife genre, which began in Ghana in the early 1990s with the renowned Reggie Rockstone. Back in the 1990s and early 2000s, his rhyming style and skills made him a tremendously dominant force in the rap game.

After reaching the pinnacle of a brilliant musical career, his success came to a halt when he was diagnosed with a slew of mental health issues that were allegedly brought on by his purported use of excessive hard drugs.

There have been rumors that the rapper had been admitted to a rehab facility and was being treated to get back on his feet. Remember how Lord Kenya, a former rapper who is now a preacher, was sued by his family when he sought to provide a helping hand to him?

Since then, one of the greatest rappers of all time has been on and off the music industry, attempting to re-enter the game after a long hiatus. Many of his admirers were ecstatic when some people claimed earlier this year that he had been observed rehearsing with a band in preparation for a major event he was going to organize.
