“Samini Is A Godfather, He Shouldn’t Be Nominated In A Categories With Kids” – Epixode To VGMA

Epixode, a nominee for the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award, believes that his fellow nominee, Samini, should be honored rather than pitted against the new generation of reggae/dancehall artists.

On Mz Gee’s show, Simply Showbiz, he revealed this discovery. “I believe Samini should be recognized as a legend,” Epixode remarked. He shouldn’t be in the same room as the kids. He is far too deserving to be placed in these categories.

Because he paved the road for some of us to follow in his footsteps. Imagine a youth who just started a year or month ago winning this award over Samini, as relevant as he is. It’s not something I’d want to do. As a result, Samini should only be recognized as a Godfather.”

In response to his ineligibility in the category, he stated that a category triumph should not be determined just on the basis of the music. For the best outcome, he believes the entire genre should be thoroughly examined. And, he claims, he has been on the front lines and defended the genre.

He also revealed that he had a few dancehall tunes in the works, albeit none of them have become huge hits. His performance at the VGMA X’perience Concert and VGMA launch backed up his assertion.

He hopes to win, but if he doesn’t, it won’t slow down his progress in the industry. He stated that he will continue to do what he does in order to prove his critics incorrect. He also stated that he will not be heartbroken about an award. Because, despite the fact that Bob Marley did not win one while living, we continue to honor him after his death.
