“I’m A Devoted Muslim Who Prays 5 Times Daily, I Don’t Drink Nor Smoke” – Black Sherif Reveals

Mohammed Ismail Sherif Frimpong, better known as Black Sherif, the young Ghanaian hip life phenomenon, has disclosed that he does not drink or smoke because he is a devout Muslim who prays five times a day.

Black Sherif claimed that his father is an Asante guy who converted to Islam after being a Christian. He claims that his father still goes by the name “Frimpong” despite converting to Islam, which is why he still goes by that name as a Muslim.

He went on to say that he was born into the Islamic faith and that as a genuine believer in the Prophet Mohammed and the Holy Quran, he does all of the required rites, such as praying five times a day, fasting throughout the statutory Ramadan month, and so on.

He was reared in a normal Muslim family of a Zongo community in his birthplace of Konongo, and he claims to be a devout Muslim who doesn't drink, smoke, or do anything that goes against his faith.

In an exclusive interview with famous media personality and artist Andy Dosty on his ‘Day Break Hitz' morning program on Hitz FM, which is monitored by GhGossip.com, the 19-year-old rapper also addresses most people's doubts about his age.

He expressed the desire that he could eventually bring a member of his family with him every time he goes for an interview, or call the person to confirm his age so that others could see whether he is, in fact, 19 years old.

When asked why most people call him ‘Blacko,' the rapper explained that it is the name he is known by on the streets since the name ‘Black Sherif' is too long for many of his contemporaries, so they prefer to call him ‘Blacko.'
