American Rapper, Cardi B Could Face 4 Years In Prison (Read Why)

For her alleged participation in a strip club altercation in 2018, Cardi B has pleaded not guilty to assault charges and faces up to four years in jail.

According to CBS 2 News, the rapper will have a hearing on October 25 in Queens Criminal Court. According to the article, the Bronx native pled not guilty to 12 charges during her hearing in 2019, including two counts of felony attempted assault and one count of reckless endangerment.

Cardi is accused of planning an attack on the Wattley sisters, who were bartending at a strip joint in Flushing, Queens, at the time.

The sisters claimed that the Grammy-winning musician and two of her close colleagues hurled glass bottles and beverages at them during their altercation. One sister stated that her head was smashed onto the bar during the argument.

According to court records, Cardi B plotted the attack on the bartending sisters via social media with two of her pals, Tawana Jackson-Morel and Jeffrey Bush, where the three coordinated a date, time, and location for the assault.

The rapper allegedly planned the attack in retribution for one of the sisters who she felt had slept with her husband Offset at the time, according to insiders.

If convicted, Cardi and her companions could face up to four years in jail.
