Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, the fast-growing Nigerian singer best known by her stage name Ayra Starr, has used social media to reflect on her past before becoming famous.
The 20-year-old Mavin signee, who has established a reputation for herself in the Nigerian music scene, wrote about her early career in a post on her Twitter account on Monday.
She expressed her delight at how far she’s come in such a short time, recalling that two years ago, she was only a girl from Agbado Ijaiye in Lagos State.
The self-described Sabi girl continued by claiming that she is unsure about her reaction when her popular song Rush receives 100 million views on YouTube.
One of the highest viewing totals for a Nigerian artist has been reached by the song, which has amassed 96 million views thus far.
Taking to twitter, she wrote;
“I really don’t even know what I’m gonna do when rush hits a 100 mil on YouTube, do I cry , do I jump ?? God, 2 years ago I was just a small girl from Agbado ijaiye.”
