I Don’t Beat My Children – Okyeame Kwame
It is not supported by rapper Okyeame Kwame, who views it as a violent act. Ghana’s school system, which supported physical punishment, has since reconsidered this policy.
The rapper, a father of two, claims he has never physically disciplined any of his kids, yet he is able to straighten them out and fix their faults.
He discussed how he responds to his children when they behave badly on Joy Prime’s morning show.
He claims that the method is effective because young kids are quick to imitate adult behavior.
“I make use of role modalism to apply the idea of mirror neurons. I’ll do whatever it is that I want my kids to do. I’ll respect my wife if I want my kids to respect women. I will eat healthily, and I want them to do the same.
In addition to opposing corporal punishment, he also disapproves of yelling at kids.
The 47-year-old Kwame claimed to have given his kids the freedom to pursue their lives as they see fit and establish their own lives. He doesn’t pry into their personal space.
