Any of the major political parties in the nation who desire to hire Kumawood star Nana Kofi Agyemang, better known on film as Oboy Siki, to run their campaigns must be prepared to pay him in dollars; otherwise, there would be no agreement.
Oboy Siki claims that he made this choice because, as a result of realizing that all political actors utilize the US dollar in their transactions, he also decided not to accept Ghanaian cedis in exchange for his support of either of the two main political parties.
Veteran Oboy Siki highlighted that “as I sit here if you want me to campaign for your party then you need to come so that we can talk about charging in dollars” on Kumasi-based Hello FM’s “Hello Entertainment Review” program. I’m not coming to you.
He said that using funds will enable him to become more resilient to criticism from the general population.
He claims that the reason he is entering politics is because the majority of his contemporaries in the film business did so when the sector was on the verge of collapse.
He said to Dave Hammer, “I have recognized that if the film business collapses, you need to move into politics, and I truly do understand politics.
