Charles Nii Armah Mensah, best known by his stage name Shatta Wale, has a daughter named Cherissa, who turned 13 today. He finds it impossible to remain composed.

He promised her a Range Rover when she turned 16, and earlier today he posted a sentimental message on Facebook to celebrate her day.

Shatta Wale disclosed in a recent Facebook post that even though he was in dire financial straits at the time Cherissa's mom became pregnant, his gut prompted him to keep the child.

“I Remember when your mother said she was pregnant. I was Damn broke. But something in me said, “Tell her to keep it.” I told her, and she did,” he revealed.

“Until today, I owed your mom, and God will make me pay her back even though we went through stress to get here. Now she is like a bestie to me. She calls me King. She calls me Daddy.

“Say thank you, mummy, every day because you have a very sweet, caring, and respectful mom. Just wait for your special gift when you are 16 years old. I love you, Cherissa NHYIRA Wale.”
