Can we handle it properly if the music tide turns from Nigeria to Ghana? – Tulenkey asks

The music industry is dynamic, and trends can shift from one country to another over time. Nigeria has been a dominant force in the African music scene, with its Afrobeats genre gaining global recognition. Ghana, too, has contributed significantly to the Afrobeat movement and has a rich musical heritage.

Chief Osei Bonsu, better known as Tulenkey in the Ghanaian entertainment industry, has entered the Ghana-Nigeria music comparison.

He said, “All these comparisons between Ghana and Nigeria are about time and seasons because we might eventually acquire all the links here in Ghana.

“Because then times when we talk about African music it was South Africa because Channel O and MTV were all passing through their side.

Speaking on Property FM in Cape Coast with Amansan Krakye, Tulenkey asked if the tide should turn to Ghana, are we going to handle it properly?

“So it's all about times and seasons and it may get to a time that people all over the world would love to listen to Ghanaian music only.

“But the big question is when the tide turns to us would we handle it properly like the way the Nigerians have handled theirs so far,” he quizzed
