DJ Lord OTB Set To Headline The Inaugural GUINNESS ACCRAVAGANZA

The inaugural GUINNESS ACCRAVAGANZA, a new multi-artsy sensory experience in Ghana, will feature award-winning Ghanaian as the headline DJ. This exciting event is set to take place on Saturday, September 30th at the Untamed Empire, off the Spintex Road.

Known as one of Ghana's most sought-after DJs, is renowned for his exceptional music selection skills, and he promises to thrill attendees with an unforgettable musical experience.

Before taking the stage at GUINNESS ACCRAVAGANZA, DJ Lord OTB recently served as the official DJ for the Black and Bold conversation event, held on September 20th, 2023, at the Barn Door Beer Garden. The event featured prominent panelists, including Annabelle Renee, Kennedy Agyapong, Baba Sadiq, and others.

The maiden edition of ‘the GUINNESS ACCRAVAGANZA', set to be an immersive appreciation of Guinness' core belief ‘Black Shines Brightest', will see the best of Ghanaian talents including KiDi performing his expansive catalogue of dance-ready tunes like the recently released ‘Likor' with the Afro Harmony band.

The first of its kind experience set to happen at the Untamed Empire on the Spintex Road will also see the ‘Sugarcane' hitmaker Camidoh', the Afropop twin sisters Lali X Lola, Niashun, and Lynx prodigy, Maya Blu taking the main stage to thrill thousands of Ghanaian music lovers.

Beyond the music, the Guinness Accravaganza will be an explosion of several other experiences from artsy spaces curated to bring out the fun in you to playful booths where soccer fans can experiment with the world's beautiful game and catch live screenings of top matches like Saturday's EPL fixture between Liverpool and Tottenham or the highly anticipated Manchester United versus Crystal Palace game.

Goshen Community School, based in Tse Addo, behind Trade fair, in the La Dadekotopon Municipal, recently lit up with vibrant hues as it celebrated Yellow Day.

The occasion, organized by the Preschool department, aimed to introduce young learners to the origin and significance of the color yellow.

Dressed in cheerful yellow attire, both teachers and students adorned the school premises, creating a picturesque scene reminiscent of a sunlit morning. The event was more than just a visual spectacle; it was an opportunity for interactive learning and exploration.

Throughout the day, preschoolers engaged in various activities centered around the color yellow. From informative talks to creative art projects and lively face painting sessions, every moment was designed to captivate young minds and foster a deeper understanding of the significance of colors in our world.

Speaking about the event, the Head of the Preschool emphasized the importance of modern educational approaches that encourage students to explore and discover knowledge for themselves. Gone are the days of passive learning; instead, today’s education thrives on hands-on experiences that make learning both fun and exciting.

As the Yellow Day festivities concluded, it left behind not only colorful memories but also a lasting impression on the preschoolers, instilling in them a newfound appreciation for the world of colors and the joy of learning.

Ghana’s parliament finally passes Anti-LGBT+ Law

's Parliament has unanimously passed a new law criminalizing activities related to the LGBTQ+ community.

After nearly three years of extensive deliberation, Ghanaian Legislators have finally passed a tough new bill that imposes a prison sentence of up to three years for anyone convicted of identifying as LGBTQ+. It also imposes a maximum five-year jail term for forming or funding LGBTQ+ groups.

The bill, which has been widely condemned by several rights activists, was approved unanimously on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 following the completion of the third reading.

Proposed amendments to the bill were rejected by the Speaker, Alban Bagbin, during the session. The bill, which had the backing of 's two major political parties, i.e. the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will come into effect only if President Nana Akufo-Addo signs it into law.

He had previously said that he would do so if the majority of Ghanaians want him to.
