In a recent interview, seasoned Ghanaian media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso—also referred to as in the Amherst community—shared her story of rising from poverty to prominence.

The business mogul disclosed how people called her ugly and unattractive because of her extreme poverty and inability to pay for some necessities.

The Show host, Delay, recalled the difficulties she faced in her early years and revealed how, at one point, her confidence was threatened by not fitting in with certain beauty standards.

She claimed that it was difficult for her to even afford basic essentials like body lotion during that time. Delay said she was happy with who she was and where she had come from.

She mentioned that her hard work and sacrifices were what made her famous.
