Afua Asantewaa, a passionate event planner and aspiring journalist from Ghana, took over Ghana's social media on December 24 when she made an attempt to shatter the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual.

Afua Asantewaa unofficially broke the record, which had been held by Sunil Waghmare for more than ten years, when she performed for more than 126 hours.
