Why was Adrian Griffin Fired?
Adrian Griffin, who was appointed as head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks in June 2023, was fired after just 43 games, despite having one of the league’s top records midway through his first season. The Bucks general manager, Jon Horst, announced the decision and stated that they are working immediately to hire their next head coach.
Joe Prunty, who had been an assistant coach on Adrian Griffin‘s staff, will serve as the Bucks’ interim head coach. The team is currently tied for the league’s second-best record with 30-13 and is 3 1/2 games behind the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference. Horst will speak at a news conference before the Bucks’ home game with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
