He was traded to the Chicago Bulls in a three-team trade involving the Hawks and the Utah Jazz in February 2016. Holiday returned to the Chicago Bulls in 2017, scoring a career-high 30 points in a 129–127 overtime loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
