“Never Sacrifice Your Career For Marriage” – Ohemaa Woyeje Tells Ladies

Women should not give up on their jobs in order to marry or have children, according to well-known Ghanaian DJ and media personality Harey Adjoa Yeboah Asiamah Kusi, also known as Ohemaa Woyeje.

She feels a woman should be able to advance her job and better herself after marriage.


Observing that some women don't work as hard or do as well in their careers after they get married and have children, the presenter made this comment in an interview with Graphic Showbiz.


Women should not have to quit working simply because they got married, especially if it's to satisfy their spouses, according to Ohemaa Woyeje, despite the challenges of juggling a profession and a marriage.

“Women could thrive with the right support system even after getting married, and they must not see marriage as a limitation to what they can offer. Some women quit their jobs after getting married, and others become less competitive after childbirth, but they must rise above that,”.

“We must not limit our abilities because of conflicting roles. We could equally utilize the right support systems that can keep us going while taking full responsibility for all aspects of our lives. It's difficult doing so many different things at the same time, but with determination, you can manage to find your way in outlining your schedules properly to fulfill your passion and meet all tasks,” she said.
