Yemi Alade In Tears After Being Robbed In Cote D’Ivoire

Yemi Alade, the well-known Nigerian musician, was recently robbed in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, and had all of her money and possessions taken from her.

Alade posted on her Instagram page to express her regret about how burglars broke into her hotel room, searched through her possessions, and stole all the cash they could find.

The songstress shared a video of herself on Instagram, noting that the robbers broke in a short while after she left her room.

She wrote: “A few minutes after I left my room, some unknown people decided to go through my things and steal all the money they could find. Very good.”

For the Creative Africa Nexus Weekend (CANEX WKND), a three-day meeting of creatives from Africa and the Diaspora, she recently traveled to Côte d'Ivoire.

Yemi Alade observed that the hotel was looking into it, checking through cameras, and all that, but she knew the money had already all been spent in response to well-wishers' worries.
