I don’t have plans to contest for any parliamentary seat – Guru
Guru has clarified that he has no immediate plans to contest for the Nkoranza parliamentary seat, despite his experience as President of the University of Ghana Students Representative Council.
The rapper explained that his decision to run for the SRC position at the University of Ghana was purely to apply what he had studied in school, not driven by any long term political ambition.
He noted that while people have encouraged him to consider a move into mainstream politics, he is not focused on contesting any parliamentary seat at this time.
“I became SRC president because I wanted to practicalize what I learned in school, not because I have a political ambition. People have asked me to contest for a parliamentary seat but I have not given it a thought yet,” he told Accra based UTV in an interview.
He added that although he is open to the idea of engaging in politics in the future, there are currently no concrete plans in that direction.
