I want to die empty – Okyeame Kwame reveals as he approaches 50

Okyeame Kwame has shared deep reflections on life, purpose, and legacy as he approaches 50 years.
In an interview on Channel One TV, the celebrated rapper said his focus has shifted toward impact rather than personal gain. He explained that he sees himself as someone who continues to evolve with each stage of life.
According to him, growth has defined his life journey, adding that he is not the same person he was decades ago.
“I am not the same person I was 40 years ago.”
For Okyeame Kwame, that continuous transformation is driven by a deep desire to make meaningful contributions across several aspects of society.
“The key thing here is I want to die empty,” he stated.
He explained that this means giving everything he can through his work, philanthropy and influence.
“I want to contribute to art. I want to contribute to health. I want to contribute to enlightenment. I want to contribute to the youth development. I want to contribute to my children.”
The rapper said this sense of purpose remains the central force behind his actions.
“So it is just a consistent drive that I have to pour myself into the world in a positive way. I think that is what is driving me.”
