Well-known personalities have gathered at the Ellis Park Arena to pay tribute to kwaito star Mandoza.
Celebrities including Moshoza and Florence Masebe are at the memorial to show their respects for the star.
“It’s a loss. He was a father. He was everything. He used to bring everyone together,” said Israel Makoe of Yizo Yizo fame.
“Not only was he an icon, not only was he a friend in the music industry, he was a young man. We feel sad for his family because he was a family man,” Bongo Maffin’s Jah Seed told us at the memorial.
Also, Minister of Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa has urged youth to emulate the late Kwaito legend Mandoza by always striving for excellence.
Mthethwa gave the keynote address at the memorial service of Mduduzi Tshabalala, popularly known as Mandoza, who passed away on Sunday after a long battle with cancer.
