It Will be better to distribute sanitary pads for free instead of condoms – Mrs Sika Coleman

Mrs Sika Coleman has made an appeal to government and cooperate entities to do free distribution of sanitary pads to JHS and SHS schools

The teacher who doubles as gospel singer made this appeal at the launch of “The Adolescent and Hygiene Project “which took place at damfa Methodist church yesterday.

Addressing the launch, Mrs. Coleman stated she has been teaching for soo many years and have had experience with problems girl child faces in menstrual periods.

There are times the adolescent girl child would absent herself from school when she is in her menstrual period, because she can't afford to buy a sanitary pad and would feel uncomfortable to come to school because she might soil herself.

Mrs coleman emphasized that instead of buying condoms and distributing for free,we should rather buy sanitary pads and distribute to schools for free because the use of condoms is a choice but the sanitary pad is a must.
