Sammy Gyamfi Reacts To Akuapem Poloo’s Sentence; Says It Was Harsh
Sammy Gyamfi has described the sentence given to actress, Rosemond Alade Brown, well known as Akuapem Poloo as a very harsh one.
In a tweet, the politicians said that the actress should be pardoned since she has showed remorse for her actions.
He said that Akuapem Poloo is a first-time offender and pleaded guilty to the allegations so, justice should be tempered with mercy.
He called on President Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo to aid in pardoning the actress.
He wrote; The sentence given to @IamAkuapemPoloo is very harsh and high-handed. Given the fact that she is a first offender, pleaded guilty and showed remorse, non-custodial sentence would have been appropriate. Sad! I pray @NAkufoAddo remits her sentence or pardons her. #FreeAkuapemPoloo
