“I Took My Rasta Off For Comedy But I’m Still A Rastafarian At Heart” – Ras Nene Discloses
Ras Nene (also known as Dr Likee) of Kumawood has said that he ditched his trademark dreadlocks in order to branch out into comedy and prove to the world that he is adaptable.
Even though his dreadlocks are gone, Ras Nene, who is known for villain roles in Kumawood action films, says he is a Rastafarian at heart.
During an interview with Joy TV, he revealed this. “At the core, I’m a Rastafarian,” he explained. “I cropped my dreadlocks because I used them too much for action movie roles.”
He claimed he shaved his head to change his image from villain to comedian.
“So, one day, I got down and resolved to rebrand myself and prove the world incorrect. I started my comedic career by cutting my dreadlocks.”
He counseled his followers not to be disheartened by others and to concentrate on accomplishing their objectives.
“As a human being, you should learn once in a while. Do not be discouraged by others. Don’t heed to what others have to say; keep doing what you’re doing.”
“When I first started doing comedy, a number of big performers discouraged me and recommended me to stick to action film parts. But today, God has blessed me,” he stated.
