“Sarkodie Is Acting Insensitive And Self” – Journalist Albert After Sarkodie Shared His View On The E-Levy
After sharing his two cents on the viral e-levy, journalist Albert Nat Hyde, also known as Bongo Ideas, has made some claims regarding Ghanaian rap god Sarkodie.
Ghanaians are still debating whether or not to pass the e-levy, which will tax every financial transaction they conduct. The majority of Ghanaians are united in their opposition to the e-levy.
However, for reasons best known to them, certain Ghanaians, particularly New Patriotic Party enthusiasts, have thrown their weight behind the approval of the e-levy mobile taxing system.
According to the rapper, he doesn't mind paying taxes in other nations because their authorities have presented him with opportunities to generate more money, but this is not the case in Ghana.
In a tweet, the rapper stated that avenues for Ghanaians to make a living have not been offered or sufficiently established, which is why they are moaning about the e-levy.
He went on to say that, given the country's hardships, an intervention aimed at just inquiring about a citizen's well-being could come off as a verbal assault.
Meanwhile, his stance on the e-levy appears to have irritated others. This essay was inspired by a response from a previous blogger, Bongo Ideas. He claimed Sarkodie just cares about himself and that he should be more sensitive to the issue because not everyone generates money outside of Ghana, as he claims, and that it is simply a horrible policy for Ghanaians.
