“Female Gospel Musicians Were Boring Until Obaapa Christy Showed Up” – Abeiku Santana

Gilbert Abeiku Santana has declared that gospel singer Obaapa Christy has transformed gospel music in Ghana.

According to him, before the introduction of Obaapa Christy, who revolutionized the manner and presentation of gospel music, the gospel fraternity, particularly the female side, was without inspiration and redefinition.

On his Okay FM show, Ekwansodwodwo, Santana said Obaapa Christy opened the minds of many female gospel performers, teaching them that gospel songs should be full of joy and uplifting sentiments.

Obaapa Christy, he said, used to rock at every Gospel crusade or performance because she always kept the audience engaged.

Obaapa Christy, he asserted, should be lauded by Ghanaian female gospel artists for opening the path for nearly all of them in the Ghanaian music business.
