“We Are Living The Dream They Thought We Wouldn’t Live” – Shatta Wale Reacts To His Mother Unpaid Rent Issues
Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known as Shatta Wale, the dancehall and Afrobeat performer who has finally addressed the matter of his mother's overdue rent.
Remember when the artist's mother went public with her announcement that she was homeless and had been unable to contact her son since her landlord evicted her from her home?
Shatta Wale has responded after being chastised over his mother's eviction. He has issued a warning to Ghanaians to keep away from his mother's situation and to refrain from calling her names.
“In a video,” Shatta Wale stated.
“It's full of money if I take off my backpack.” Have you guys examined your family matters before talking about my family matters? And you're there talking about, “go and rent for your mother and stuff.” Do you get what I'm saying? Don't say anything negative about me, because if you do, I'll say something negative back. I'll prove to you that I'm a thug.
“See, nigga is insane, and if someone tries to concern me, erh…fools in Ghana…” We're living the dream… We're living the life you believed we weren't going to live. “
On social media, not everything needs to be answered. Now that I in America, I have a place to sleep. Have you ever purchased a home in the United States? You nod off!
This isn't about squabbling and hating each other. Most of you on social media, Nima and others, hating on me, say “man, I've made it.” If I say I've made it and it scares you, it's your issue because you haven't, so you're in the wrong frame of mind. I've made it, and I'm glad to be able to tell God about it. “
