John Mahama, the former president of Ghana, thinks that the current Black Stars team has demonstrated that they are a committed group deserving of all of Ghana’s support. He acknowledges that the country did not see the expected outcomes, but he is optimistic about upcoming battles.
He said that the young team from Ghana will do admirably if given the right support and that the outcome of the match against Portugal was not what we had anticipated. But we’ve demonstrated that we’re a highly committed team going into this World Cup.
Taking to Facebook, he said:
That was not the result we were expecting from the game against Portugal. But we’ve confirmed that we are a very determined side for this World Cup.
Let’s continue to pray and support the team as they prepare for their second and the final group matches.
This team, is a young team! A work in progress. We should be proud of them.
