Shatta Wale’s Freedom Concert

The Accra Sports Stadium was left in the mud after and Medikal's Christmas Day Freedom Wave Concert, transforming it into Sakora Park.

Thousands of Ghanaian music fans filled the 40 thousand-seater structure all night.

Many spectators crossed the inner border to get closer to the various performers' performances, rendering the pitch's surface unrecognizable.

The Freedom Wave Concert is the Accra Sports Stadium's second event of the holiday season.

The National Sports Authority, led by Director General Peter Twumasi, has ordered teams that play their home games in Accra to relocate.

Temporary stadiums have been used by Hearts of Oak, Accra Lions, and Great Olympics.

On January 2, 2023, the Ghana Premier League will resume.
