Meek Mill Quickly Deletes His Video Shot At Ghana’s Jubilee House Following Social Media Backlash
Meek Mill has removed the video he recorded at Ghana's Jubilee House during his visit after the social media outcry from Ghanaians.
When the American rapper shared a portion of a freestyle video he shot at Ghana's seat of government on his Instagram reels in the early hours of Sunday, January 8, 2023, the majority of Ghanaian social media users became enraged.
The snippet, which was about 46 seconds long, was shared with the caption: “NOT INDUSTRY POWERED” we make the narrative GHANAAAAAAA🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭 I felt like a king there!! “All real footage” “power rap”@nick_papz @fridayy at the “presidential villa”
Most of the people who shared an opinion on the video questioned how he was given the authorization to do such a thing when the Jubilee House is known to be a security zone, where pictures cannot even be taken.
Others have questioned whether this means that any musician in Ghana can now grab their camera and head to the Jubilee House for a video shoot because it seems as though the floodgates have been opened.
The president's office hasn't yet responded to all of the criticism and inquiries, but for the time being, a number of social media users think Meek Mill's decision to remove the video was the right one.
The American rapper performed for the large crowd that had gathered at the event grounds on December 29, 2022, while he was in Ghana for the Afro Nation music festival.
