Kennedy Agyapong Jr

Kennedy Agyapong Jr., the powerful politician’s son, told a story about trying to use his father’s name to get out of trouble in the past but failing.

He is the son of Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central, and he is one of the founders of Afrochella, now known as AfroFuture.

He said, “I recall when I first arrived in Ghana, in 2014, I was heading back [to America] for vacations” on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, on Accra’s Hitz FM. I had a visa, but I was unaware that it was only valid for 60 days before needing to be renewed.

Because he possessed a five-year visa, he had claimed that he “could leave and come” as he pleased.

At the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), Accra, he recounted, “So, this is the first time I used his [my father’s] name, and it backfired.”

“The immigration officer told me that my visa had expired while I was at the airport,” I argued that it said five years, but he proved otherwise by showing me that the 60 days I had been granted had passed.

Kennedy Jr. confronted the police after “becoming agitated.” He said that this was the moment when he first spoke the well-known phrase, “Do you know who I am?”

The officer displayed being on a phone conversation with his right hand when the officer would not move, saying, “I contacted Honourable [his political father].”

His father, a well-known statesman, requested to be announced over the loudspeaker.

The 33-year-old Kencity Media Limited executive claimed, “The officer remarked to my father, “He overstayed.” “I had been in Ghana for a year when there was a fine, and the officer informed me that it was US$360.

The young man was shocked to hear his father’s response to the officer: “Oh, let him pay the penalty.”
