Jupitar, the dancehall musician, has chimed in on the debate about how many music icons Ghana has right now.
There are only four superstars in the nation, compared to Nigeria’s abundance of “music heavyweights,” according to Michael Blackson, who made this point before.
Only four musicians—Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Black Sherif—were singled out for attention in an earlier episode of the “Drinks Champions” podcast by the Ghanaian-American comedian.
The list of people who concur with Michael Blackson’s claim now includes Jupiter.
He claims that because Ghanaians have concentrated on a select group of artists, the idea that the nation lacks superstars has gained traction.
Taking to twitter, Jupiter wrote:
“Why are you going hard on for saying he’s only familiar with just 4 artistes? I’ve said this before, the focus is just on few acts so for obvious reasons only few will get recognized, until we change our ways to give equal and fair support on every act.”
