It Wasn’t A Hiatus, I Was Going Through It – E.L
Ghanaian rapper, E.L, has opened up about his absence from the music scene in a recent interview on the Big Conversation on 3Music TV.
The rapper attributed his hiatus to a desire for greater control over his art, as he often found himself with many ideas but unable to execute them as he envisioned. He also expressed a need to break free from the repetitive nature of the industry and try new things, but felt limited by the structures around him at the time.
E.L also touched on the struggles faced by artistes in Ghana, particularly in terms of expanding their fan bases and reaching new markets. When asked if he would consider looking outside his current environment for success, he responded that Ghanaians were unlikely to help him at this point.
