D-Black blames NPP and Akufo-Addo Government for the hardship and high cost of living, regrets supporting them.
Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, better known as D-Black, a Ghanaian rapper, has turned to social media to express his displeasure with the current status of the country's economy and his remorse for having supported the Akufo-Addo NPP-led government.
The boss of Black Avenue Music became irate after seeing a nostalgic post from Hitz FM Ghana in which he praised President Nana Akufo-Addo and Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta for lowering taxes and the cost of purchasing replacement parts.
The “Vera” singer bemoaned the situation of the economy and voiced dissatisfaction with the administration's performance in his posts.
It's time for action and change, he suggested in response to fans who questioned why he and other industry figures have remained largely silent about the situation of the economy.
D-Black's outburst brings attention to the continuing discussions and worries about Ghana's economic difficulties as well as the expectations people have of their leadership.
