“I’ve Taken A Break From Movies Because Most Storyline Nowadays Makes No Sense” – Martha Ankomah
Martha Ankomah, an actor, filmmaker, model, and businesswoman from Ghana, has shared her decision-making process when it comes to joining a casting team.
She made the fervent claim that a film is senseless and not worth her time if it does not decry evil and promote goodness for both individual growth and societal progress.
Before turning into a producer, host Akua Sonto questioned whether Martha had turned down any high-paying film jobs.
“I turned down a number of roles.
I essentially consider the plot and the screenplay. Ms. Ankomah said, “I won't join the cast if I read the screenplay, and it makes no sense.
“There are movies that seem aimless and go around in circles,” she clarified. It contains no wise counsel. The youth cannot get any useful knowledge from it. I reject any film that does not teach a positive moral message.
She mentioned a script that included sequences like “a man who sleeps with women and kills them” as another example. “What can a viewer learn about killing multiple women from a movie like this?”
Martha claims that she turned down a part in a Nigerian film lately.
“I dared to point out that the tale doesn't make sense to the guy who supplied the script. I told several producers that up front, and I was honest,” she remarked.
