, a Ghanaian Highlife music superstar, has stated why he enjoys performing “Love” songs.
stated he doesn't understand why people accuse him of simply writing love songs for his fans and the general population in Ghana. He stated that, aside from his songs containing some level of personal experiences, he enjoys singing about love.

He added that real-life events provide him with a lot of inspiration, and that writing and singing love songs is his biggest strength in music, and that he isn't willing to change sides or move away from it because of people's critiques.

He went on to refute the claim that all of his songs are love songs, citing a song like “mebrabo mu nsem” as an example of a song that is clearly about “life and its happenings” rather than being a love song.

Akwaboah also stated that he has written gospel songs for some of Ghana's best gospel performers, such as SP Kofi Boakye, Cece Twum, and even his Highlife colleague Becca, adding that he doesn't understand why people think he just writes love songs.

As a guest artiste on Hitz FM's “Day Break Hitz,” hosted by multi-talented Ghanaian DJ and musician Andy Dosty, Akwaboah also discussed how his father has influenced his career as a son of a musical great.

He claims that anytime he finishes a new project, he plays it for his father to listen to for examination, and that he must be confused because he assisted him greatly. He claims that his father listened to his upcoming album and advised him to make some modifications to a couple of the tracks, which he did, and the songs now sound completely different.
