Video Drops As Police Rescue Popcaan From Alleged Robbery Attack At East Legon (Video)
In a viral video, award-winning Jamaican dancehall artist Andre Hugh Sutherland, better known by his stage name Popcaan, is seen being rescued by police from robbers.
Unfortunately, Popcaan is alleged to have been involved in an altercation at a well-known club about midnight on Wednesday, January 5, 2021.
Although specifics concerning the event are scant, it is alleged that when a commotion broke out at the venue in East Legon, an Accra suburb, it needed the presence and efforts of police officials to save the performer.
According to unsubstantiated reports, a gang of crooks allegedly attempted to rob the musician, but his personal security guards intervened.
The situation worsened, forcing the intervention of the police, who were able to manage the situation and subsequently remove the singer.
In a video obtained by Ghgossip, a group of guys were seen forcing their way inside the pub, with one specifically singling out the Jamaican performer. Bullets were being fired when the cops arrived in the area.
One of the accused assailants was subsequently detained, and Popcaan was taken out in the sight of the policeman who was protecting him in his car, where he drove away.
According to another video of the event, released by Boom Bye Bye TV, the artist claimed attackers attempted to rob him, and three of them were shot by his guards.
