How I Got My Stage Name – Skrewface Narrates

According to hiplife artist Skrewface, he acquired his stage name due to an incident that occurred in senior high school.

Appearing on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Tuesday, he described how, when playing with one of his seniors in a basketball game, he displayed some skills on the floor.

Skrewface claimed that while the action garnered some applause, his senior received jeers from his peers.

“After that, he became irate.” Then we started fighting and everything. He had a screwdriver, so he pulled it out when I turned my back. The musician explained, “A friend warned me, but even when I turned and tried to dodge, it still got a portion of my forehead.”

Also, he said that he needed stitches and emergency care, so he had to be sent to the hospital.

Afterwards, according to Skrewface, his father paid him a visit, and his teacher could only recall him as the student who had a screwdriver slashed across his face.

“I am looking for Eshun,” my father stated when he came looking for me. My teacher questioned, “Where is the guy who got his face screwed?” after hearing him say, “My son recently got into trouble and had a cut on his forehead.”
