As the district attorney for New York County, Alvin Leonard Bragg Jr. is an American politician and attorney from New York State.  He was the first African American and the first person of color to be elected to that position in 2021.

He got his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, where he was an editor of the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, after graduating from Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts in government in 1995.
