Ghana’s Most Beautiful winner, Yaba replies critics.

Winner of Ghana’s Most Beautiful season X, Yaba has stated that she is not bothered by criticisms from a section of the public that she did not deserve to win; rather, she is motivated by such criticisms to prove that her victory was never a mistake.
Some Ghanaians expressed utmost surprise following the crowning of the Western Region representative as the winner of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Season 10 indicating that her performance did not merit the crown.
Reacting to the criticisms on TV3’s Midday news, Yaba said she is not affected by the criticisms.
“These criticisms are motivating me rather. They are not affecting me negatively because I know what I did and I know I deserved it… I’m going to work hard to prove those who are criticizing me wrong,” the newly crowned queen said.
Yaba touched on her readiness to embark on her project on breast cancer and expressed hope of a successful campaign.
“My project is based on breast cancer because I lost an aunty through breast cancer two years ago so it is very dear to me… This is not something I’ve heard of and want to do because I have seen it, I have lived with it and I am even at risk. Because it is hereditary there is no way I’m giving up on my project and I’m going to start from the Jomoro district and gradually we will move through the entire Western region and hopefully the whole Ghana,” she said.
The 21-year-old student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) beat competition from four other contenders to walk home with a four-wheel Suzuki Vitara, a whopping GH¢10,000 cash prize and an opportunity to embark on a spectacular trip to South Africa.
Northern Region’s Hiba emerged second while Eastern Region’s Akos came third with Naa of Greater Accra Region and Ashanti Region’s Badu taking the fourth and fifth positions respectively.
