Joint 77, one of the sacked militants of Shatta Wale, has dropped a bombshell on his former music mentor.

Joint 77 was among three other militants comprising Captan, Natty Lee and Addi Self who stood strongly behind and together made hit songs dubbed ”Taking Over” and ”Thunder Fire”.

Their relationship with looked good until recently that the dancehall artiste took to his Facebook page to angrily disclose he had sacked all the militants but kept Captan.

The reason for the militants' dismissal was later established by Shatta Wale as betrayal on the part of his militants.

After going solo because of his former boss' action, Joint 77 has opened up in an interview with host Abeiku Aggrey Santana on Okay FM's Drive Show ‘Ekwanso Dwoodwoo' regarding his dismissal from Shatta Wale's camp.

Obviously hurt by their unfriendly relationship, he disclosed he provided roof over the head of Shatta Wale during his hustling days.

According to him, before the dancehall artiste shot to fame and acquired wealth, he had nowhere to stay but to come to him (Joint 77) and he sheltered him, consequently wondering why the spotlight is solely on Shatta Wale's help to him.

“Shatta Wale was with me in my home. During the hustle days, things were not easy; so I gave him shelter in my house. My family knows this. He was living in my room,”he said.

Joint 77 also revealed before he exited the camp, he had composed songs with Shatta Wale but didn't take them away from him.

When asked whether he will go for his songs, he said “they're under his (Shatta Wale) record label and so he can do whatever he wants with them. If he decides to give them back to me, fine but if he doesn't, it's still good because I'm working. I'm recording more”.
