“Shatta Wale Resurrected Ghana Music” – Sam George

Dancehall sensation Shatta Wale, according to Ghanaian politician Samuel Nartey George, “resurrected” dancehall in Ghana's music industry.

According to the Ningo-Prampram MP, the “Melisa” crooner is the “Faiza” of Ghanaian music, and that he [Shatta Wale] has added something to his brand that has appealed to a certain group of music fans.

He was dubbed “Faiza” by Sam George.

“Shatta was basically out of a career. “Shatta is the Faiza of Ghanaian music,” he stated, according to Ghanaweb. “Faiza lifts dead male organs with Viagra; so therefore, Shatta resurrected the Ghanaian music,”

“We figured the guy's career was over when he was Bandana because he had a beef with Samini and Samini ‘murdered' him and the guy vanished, and then the next thing we see is the resurrection,” he said.

Sam George claims that Ghanaian artists aren't winning international awards because of how they've localized their material, and that the African songs that are winning international awards are more local, with a lot of English lyrics that connect with the globe as a whole.

He went on to say that all French musicians who sing in their native tongue have developed a certain class and power for themselves.

“They've built a certain class and leverage for themselves […] it's not only about being danceable or having good lyrics to win a Grammy; it's also about how well it's marketed. Our lads know how to make a wicked beat and drop some dope lines on it “He was adamant.
