“I’ll Put My Money On Nasty C Over Almost Any American Rapper” – Burnaboy (Video)

Burna Boy has declared that Nasty C, the South African rapper, is better than virtually all prominent American rappers and has promised to wager any amount of money on his head.

In an interview, the Grammy and BET award winner made this bold statement in response to a question about Americans labeling all types of African music as Afrobeat.

Nasty C is a rapper, according to Burna Boy, so his music should be classified as ‘Rap’ rather than ‘Afrobeat,’ and he shouldn’t be seen solely as an Afrobeat musician just because he’s from Africa.

“Yeah, everything isn’t Afrobeats,” he said. Nasty C is a hip-hop artist. And you’re going to say Afrobeats since he’s now from Africa? He’s a rapper, not a rapper. I’d rather bet on Nasty C than nearly any other American rapper.”
