VGMA’s reigning new artiste of the year, Andrew Nii Commey Otoo popularly known by his stage name Mr. Drew has revealed his greatest fear.
The Highly Spiritual musician claimed in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, which was monitored by Dklassgh.net, that he worries about being destitute after retirement.
If he has to come on the radio and ask for aid years later, it will be some way.
He stated that they are putting everything in place to avoid a situation like this.
Mr Drew went on to say that he is saddened when he learns about elderly prominent people requesting assistance.
He also discussed how musicians are not treated with respect for their work.

Meanwhile, Artiste Manager of one of the biggest dancehall musicians in Africa, Shatta Wale, Bullgod has stated that he will quit his managerial duties should Shatta decide to rejoin the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Shatta Wale and his colleague, Stonebwoy were involved in a heated brawl during the 2019 VGMA which resulted in the latter pulling up a gun to deter his attackers. This resulted in the two acts facing the law and also being suspended indefinitely from participating in the award scheme.
