“Kuami Eugene Is Selfless, He Rejected A 75% Cash From Our Abode3 Song” – Captain Planet
Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey, better known as Captain Planet, a member of the defunct music group 4X4, has lavished praise on his fellow artist, Kuami Eugene.
Captain Planet and Kuami Eugene have a new single out called ‘Abode3,' which is doing well in the streaming rankings and on the radio.
In an interview with Kumasi-based Pure Fm's “Hammer Time” Entertainment show, he revealed the information.
Kuami Eugene, according to Captain Planet, is a selfless musician who is concerned about the well-being of his fellow musicians. Captain Planet went on to say that despite doing the majority of the production work on their Abode3 song, Kuami Eugene refused to take the 75 percent cut.
“Kuami Eugene was intended to receive 50% of the overall income of the song for his production work, and 25% for his lyrics on it,” he says, “but he rejected and asked for us to divide the revenue evenly.”
He is a multi-talented artist who understands exactly what he is doing and delivers. He's our most important player here, and I'm confident he'll go far. You can't stop him because he understands exactly what he's doing,” he said.
