Agbeshie, the talented Ghanaian rapper, has disclosed that he and his management attempted to contact Medikal during his imprisonment but that neither he nor his management returned their calls.
Medikal was detained by the police after he was seen brandishing a pistol on social media in a viral video. He was arrested and put in police detention for five days after being arraigned in an Accra Circuit Court.
A few days later, he was granted GHc100,000 bail with one surety by the court. He appeared in court yesterday, and his case has been rescheduled until December 7.
Agbeshie, who is believed to be a close friend of Medikal, stated in an interview on Okay FM's Ekwansodwodwo that he attempted to reach out to the rapper during his darkest days but that he did not pick up his calls.
He said that when he learned of Medikal's detention, he wanted to lend him his support, but that all of his attempts to contact him were unsuccessful.
When questioned whether he had any difficulties with Medikal that caused him to not pick up his calls, Agbeshie responded that he had not offended him in any way and that he has no clue if he has personal issues with him. However, he feels Medikal was too preoccupied with his own problems to pick up his calls.
