“It Has Always Been My Dream To Work With Usher, Daddy Lumba And Popcaan” – Gyakie
Gyakie, the Ghanaian singer, has compiled a list of some of the top-tier and renowned musicians she would like to collaborate with in the future.
Usher Raymond, the American singer, Popcaan, the Jamaican dancehall master, and the great Ghanaian Highlife artiste, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, better known as Daddy Lumba, were all mentioned by Gyakie.
Gyakie disclosed in an interview with AJ Sarpong on Citi FM that the above-mentioned musicians are among those she admires for their artistry and hopes to collaborate with in the future. She also mentioned that she enjoys collaborating with other top-tier musicians.
Gyakie stated that she wants to try dancehall with Popcaan and believes that if she works with the top vocalist, she will be amazing at it.
‘I'd want to collaborate with Usher because I admire him.' Gyakie said, “I also want to explore dancehall by collaborating with Popcaan.”
Gyakie also disclosed that she had a few songs in the works with her father, the famed Nana Acheampong and that she wouldn't mind collaborating with her father's old partner, Daddy Lumba if the opportunity arose.
