R2Bees Explains Why Their Latest Hit ‘Eboso’ Sounds Like Ofori Amponsah’s ‘Asew’ (Video)
R2Bees, the Ghanaian music duo comprised of Mugeez and Omar Sterling, has finally clarified why their song “Eboso” sounds similar to Ofori Amponsah's “Asew.”
R2Bees recently released a single from their current album, ‘Back 2 Basics,' and when the song went viral, many people thought the song and its melodies were similar to Ofori Amponsah's ‘Asew.'
To be honest, the song sounds eerily similar to Ofori's ‘Asew,' with identical words and language.
R2Bees revealed in an interview with Ghana Weekend that they have drawn influence from a variety of songs, including songs like ‘Kiss Your Hand' and ‘Slow Down,' which were inspired by Wande Coal's ‘Bumper 2 Bumper' and Kojo Antwi's ‘Daddy Anoma.'
They claim that their song ‘Eborso' sounds similar to Ofori Amponsah's ‘Asew,' and they won't deny that they were inspired by the song.
They also stated that they had met with Ofori Ampnsah and there are no copyright concerns on the table.
