Pappy Kojo is one of the few musicians from Ghana who showed interest and love for music at an early age as he was said to have taken part in locally organized rap shows.
During these times, he would rap to Obrafour, Tic Tac, Reggie Rockstone, and Lord Kenya. He left the shores of Ghana in the year 2004.
At a point, he started to cover some popular songs and posted them on his YouTube channel. He also started doing his own thing as he recorded some songs with Italian and Ghanaian music producers.
Although he was doing music, he became popular in the year 2014 when he collaborated on a smash hit record with Ghanaian superstar Joey B.
He was nominated three times at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards and won an award for the Hip-Hop Song of the Year. He has also been nominated for the Best Newcomer in Africa at the AFRIMMA Awards.
