Diana Asamoah accepted my proposal because I said she’s ‘cute’ – Brother Sammy
Samuel Opoku, also known as Brother Sammy, a Kumasi-based gospel artist, has disclosed the tactic that encouraged colleague singer Diana Asamoah to accept his proposal.
In an interview with Roselyn Felli on Prime Morning, he revealed that complimenting Diana on her cuteness convinced her to say ‘yes.'
According to Brother Sammy, when Diana heard the compliment, she was blown away, which led her to accept his proposal for them to marry.
According to him, the singer had never heard such a compliment before, so when it came from his lips, she agreed for them to marry and settle down.
‘I told her she's cute, and she said ‘waow,' said Brother Sammy on Wednesday.
He also stated that his presence in Diana Asamoah's life is what prompted the Evangelist's recent stylish looks, which has sent social media abuzz.
According to rumours, the two are planning to marry on December 24th of this year.
Meanwhile, Brother Sammy' has advised single suitors to be patient and avoid rushing into marriage.
Marriage, he believes, is a complex enterprise that requires prospective participants to take their time and make sound decisions.
On Prime Morning, he called marriage as a “prison,” which has caused many people issues.
Admonishing the general public, he stated that he would choose childbirth to marriage.
“Marriage is cool, but the advice I'll give to everybody is, don't rush into marriage. Marriage is a cage. Don't rush into marriage., because some people have married and they're dying.
“Marriage has killed many people. As for me I love children more than marriage. Giving birth is better than getting married.
Because if you fall ill today, your child will be by your side. But your spouse can neglect you in times of illness and go for another partner”, he said on Wednesday.
Brother Sammy, as he is commonly known, first appeared on the scene around a decade ago and is now known for his soul-stirring Twi melodies, which always endear him to his audience.
The late Prophet Seth Frimpong, a Kumasi-based artist, helped him on his way to popularity in Ghana.
In the early stages of his career, he collaborated with several prominent figures in the local gospel industry, like Ernest Opoku and Oware Junior.
