Ifedayo Olarinde, a.k.a. “Daddy Freeze,” the well-known Nigerian-Romanian broadcaster and socialite, has claimed that financially supporting wealthy parents is not a blessing.
Free Nation Online Church’s founder said that he has never given his mother, a vice chancellor at a university, money before since there is no blessing associated with it.
In a message on his Instagram page, Daddy Freeze urged his fans to donate money to the less fortunate rather than their affluent parents, since the benefits of doing so can only come when parents are in need and struggling.
“There is no blessing in giving your rich parents money. The blessing is when you give to the poor. If your parents are struggling, then you are blessed when you give them money or assist them. ‘Honor your father & mother’ should not be monetized,” he said.
Although his mother is wealthy, Daddy Freeze pointed out that she does not require money from him and shared a story about how she once gave money to a politician after it was dropped off for her by her personal assistant.
